Outside Processing

In order to provide the highest level of service and value, at Fast Active Technology, we have developed relationships with a wide range of outside vendors. We use vendors that have been audited for quality and that carry the government and industry certifications required by our customers. These certifications include Nadcap, Mil-Spec, AMS, and other applicable industry standards. The services provided by these vendors include laser cutting, water jet cutting, stamping, machining, and spinning that are used to fabricate the raw material for bending and welding, as well as an array of post-fabrication process. Post-fabrication processes include heat treating, polishing, painting, and plating.

Complete material traceability is maintained throughout all processes according to customer requirements. Using our extensive network of trusted outside vendors saves customers the time of sourcing a vendor and going through the vendor approval process. Because we are centrally located near Detroit, the vast majority of our vendors are nearby. This saves customers money on shipping and greatly reduces lead time for the completed assembly. Testing and inspection on finished assemblies can be performed in-house or by a third party, depending on testing requirements.
